Color your homemade candle
In this article, we will guide you through the detailed process of making your own homemade scented candle. Follow our instructions carefully and learn how to create a unique scented candle that will brighten up your home.
Steps for Making a Homemade Candle
Step 1: Preparation
Start by preparing your workspace. Make sure you have a flat, clean surface to work on. Place all materials within easy reach to make the process easier.
Step 2: Melt the Wax
In a suitable container, melt the soy or paraffin wax at the recommended temperature. Use the thermometer to monitor the temperature and make sure not to overheat it.
Step 3: Prepare the Wick
While the wax melts, prepare your candle wick. Secure it to the bottom of your container using tweezers, making sure it stays straight and centered.
So-called "Crackling" candles can be made using wooden wicks. Often made from cherry wood.
Our cotton wicks, on the other hand, are made from natural cotton, pre-waxed with soy wax, and directly attached to their metal support. They guarantee a stable, long-lasting combustion without producing black smoke.
Step 4: Add the Perfume
Once the wax is melted, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil and mix gently to distribute the fragrance evenly throughout the wax.
Step 5: Pour the Candle
Carefully pour the scented wax into your prepared container, being careful not to disturb the wick. Let the candle sit for several hours, allowing the wax to harden completely.

- If you want to add color to your homemade candle, mix it with a candle dye before pouring the wax into the container.
- For a more intense scent, do not hesitate to increase the number of drops ofessential oil or perfume you use.
- Don't forget to personalize your container by adding decorative elements such as ribbons or labels.
Color your homemade candle:
To obtain homemade colored scented candles without resorting to chemical dyes, we recommend natural alternatives:
- Colored vegetable oils: for example, Avocado oil or Calophyllum will give green nuances to your candle.
- Coloring plant powders (to be used in maceration): Opt for Turmeric for a fluorescent yellow. Spirulina powder ohas a blue-green tint. The matcha abrings a bright green color
- Tea bag: For example, a red fruit tea bag for a pink candle.
